Warrior is back at it again! Between July 2-4 Warrior hosted the u13 World Games in Denver, Colorado. This event featured a lot more than just a bunch of lacrosse games from some of the best youth lacrosse clubs in the world.. In addition to the competitive games, players and their families were given the oppertunity to attend numerous events. Some of these events featured were talks given by the Denver Broncos and Denver Outlaws strength and conditioning coaches, clinics given by the Outlaws players, as well as competitions at night. Some of these competitions featured fastest player running and fastest shot. On July 3rd, every player and their family was invited to a banquet at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. This event featured food, music, raffles, and an autograph session.
The tournament itself featured 4 brackets consisting of 6 teams in each bracket. Each team played the other 5 teams in their bracket before moving on to the championship style bracket which featured the winner of each division. The tournament was capped off with the championship taking place on July 4 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The championship featured Prime Time vs LI Express. The Express ended up taking control of the game after a close first quarter, winning by a score of 12-4. The game was followed by fireworks at the stadium to cap off a great tournament and to celebrate our nation's birthday!
